Aurola is a storyteller at heart.

Her insatiable curiosity combined with her creative spirit have led her to a communications career that crosses mediums. She is a photographer, graphic designer, content creator, and video production coordinator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Born in a multicultural family in Costa Rica, Aurola began using her communication skills early in life. From the interpreter at family gatherings, she went on to work as a professional interpreter for six years — relaying messages for everything from 911 calls to travel bookings.

Aurola completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in fashion communication at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. There, she served as the editor-in-chief of Stephens Life magazine, recognized in 2019 by the Associated Collegiate Press as the best collegiate feature magazine in the country.

You can catch Aurola walking downtown with a cup of coffee, creating content with her husband William, or planning a new short film.
